British actors DOUGRAY SCOTT and CLAIRE FORLANI are engaged and planning a wedding for later this year (07). TERI HATCHER

TERI HATCHER was shocked during an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW with JAY LENO on Friday (16FEB07), when she was shown a videotape of former US President GEORGE BUSH patting her on the behind. The DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star had lunch with Bush in Los Angeles recently and had no idea why media reports were making such a big deal out of a friendly lunch. When the talk show host asked her about their relationship she joked, "That's my other boyfriend. We were having lunch talking about a charity thing that I'm involved in with him and MRS BUSH. "When we left the place, one of the things we had been talking about at lunch was that I got this new Mercedes. So when we left, he wanted to see my car, so he walked me to my car. "Somebody caught some video, I haven't seen it." When Leno insisted that the former president "patted her on the a**" Hatcher said adamantly, "I don't think that's true. You would think if the president patted you anywhere you would know. I don't recall the president patting me." Leno then played the footage, which showed Bush patting Hatcher on the behind twice while telling her goodbye. A stunned Hatcher squealed after watching the tape, "Now I see what everybody's been talking about!"

MARCIA CROSS GIVES BIRTH TO TWIN GIRLS

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS gave birth to fraternal twin daughters on Tuesday (20FEB07) in Los Angeles. Cross, 44, and husband TOM MAHONEY, 49, married in June 2006. The girls, EDEN and SAVANNAH, are the first children for the couple. Cross' representative tells American publication People, "Mother and babies are all doing well." The star, who plays BREE VAN DE CAMP on the hit series, had been on bed rest since January (07). Producers of the show set up production at her home in order to finish her storylines on the series. CROSS DESPERATE FOR BABY DELIVERY

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS was eager to give birth to her twin daughters after more than a month of doctor-ordered bed rest. Cross, 44, gave birth to fraternal twin girls EDEN and SAVANNAH on 20 February (07). A source tells American publication People, "By the end she was definitely tired of being in bed!" Grana przez Huffman bohaterka zamieniła się w ostatniej serii w odnoszącą sukcesy bizneswoman, jednak aktorka nie ukrywa, że znacznie bardziej lubiła oryginalną wersję swojej postaci, która lepiej oddawała rozterki i problemy współczesnych rodziców.

„Chciałam grać kobietę będącą przykładem macierzyństwa, które łączy w sobie szaleństwo, depresję, oburzenie, stratę, cud i miłość. Wisteria Lane's hunky plumber has a new gig: baseball-team owner.

James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino on ABC's Desperate Housewives, has followed a lifelong passion by becoming a part owner of the Fullerton Flyers Professional Baseball Club, an independent minor-league team based at Goodwin Field in Fullerton, Calif., his rep announced Monday.

Denton admits his acting gig generally plays second fiddle to the sport for which he has long had a passion. "I have an acting job to support my baseball habit," he says. "It's been a childhood dream of mine to own my own ball club, and when presented the chance I couldn't say no."

He adds that he wouldn't be above pulling a few Hollywood strings to pull in the next Mo Vaughn, even temporarily. "I think one of the first orders of business will be to offer walk-on roles on Desperate Housewives to any to any .300 hitter in the bigs that will suit up for me for at least one game."

Nicollette Sheridan wygrała w sądzie
Gwiazda serialu "Gotowe na wszystko" Nicollette Sheridan wygrała sprawę, którą rozpętał jej były manager.
Rob Lee, były manager aktorki, oskarżył ją o to, że zwolniła go, ponieważ nie chciała podzielić się z nim zyskami ze swojej telewizyjnej pensji. Lee twierdził, iż to właśnie dzięki niemu otrzymała rolę w popularnym serialu i że w związku z tym należy mu się 10 procent zysków gwiazdy.

Sprawa trwała rok. Lee przegrał sprawę. Sąd uznał, iż w czasie, gdy negocjował dla Sheridan kontrakt na udział w "Gotowych na wszystko", nie posiadał do tego respektowanych przez prawo licencji.

Honorarium Sheridan to około 25 tysięcy dolarów za odcinek.

Gotowi na wszystko, ale nie na obelgi
Twórcy serialu "Gotowe na wszystko" wywołali oburzenie widzów kpiąc z poziomu szkolnictwa na Filipinach.

Rozwścieczeni widzowie zaczęli dzwonić do telewizji ABC po odcinku serialu, w którym grana przez Teri Hatcher bohaterka rozmawia z lekarzem na temat studiów medycznych na Filipinach. W kontrowersyjnej scenie Susan Mayer, która zastanawia się, czy nie zaczyna przechodzić menopauzy, mówi do lekarza: "Zanim zaczniemy dyskutować na ten temat, czy mogłabym sprawdzić te dyplomy? Chciałabym mieć pewność, że nie są z jakiejś szkoły medycznej na Filipinach…"

Pod petycją o usunięcie sceny z serialu i oficjalne przeprosiny od ABC podpisało się już ponad 30 tysięcy widzów, jednak rzecznik stacji zapewnia, że scenarzyści w żadnym wypadku nie zamierzali okazywać pogardy filipińskiej społeczności lekarskiej.
